 I am a Phpclanwebsite Hosting Customer and want to use my own .com .net .org etc domain name. What do I do? |
 First you need to purchase the domain name. We recommend purchasing this through http://clandomains.net as they have great pricing and an easy to use admin panel to manage your domain name settings.
After you own the applicable domain name, go to this admin panel and you should see a section where you can alter/specify the nameservers. Set them as per below:
Primary: ns1.phpclanwebsite.com
Secondary: ns2.phpclanwebsite.com
Then email and let him know what domain name you have purchased and what address your current site is pointing to.

| I am having login problems on my site. How can I overcome this? |
Phpclanwebsite 1.2x Passwords are now case sensitive. Try keying it in with the exact same case that you created it. Otherwise use the password reset option at the bottom of the Profiles page to reset your password.
If all methods fail then the problem is probably caused by an incorrect 'Cookie Domain' or 'Cookie Sub Folder' setting in your 'Configure Settings' section in admin. You will either need to manually edit these fields in phpmyadmin, or run the 'Phpclanwebsite Recovery Tool' to correct this problem. 99.99% of sites should have these 2 fields blank.

| I do not have a login option in the Navigation Bar. What do I do? |
Because your passwords are now encrypted, if you still are carrying a 1.14 unencrypted cookie for your login and password you will experience the problem above. Either clear your cookies, or manually add the logout address to your address bar.
ie http://www.yoursite.com/index.php?page=logout .
Once you login I would strongly suggest going to your admin/advanced settings area and specifying a cookie prefix so your users do not have the same problem.

| How do I move boxes around and make new boxes? |
Steps to moving boxes and removing boxes.
1. WEBPAGE LAYOUT grouping of links on the Navigation Box.
2. click on "Manage PCW Pages"
3. select "Detials" on whatever page you wish to modify
4. Click EDIT and then use the menus to modify the box listings.
You can do this on any page.
To make new boxes that isn't there.
1. Write your HTML or php code
2. save the file as "Box_Name.php.inc"
3. upload to "phpclanwebsite/boxes/"
4. Follow the steps above to add that new box to a page.

| How do I install a new theme? |
1. Download the theme from the download section or third party site.
2. Unzip or Unrar this archive to your local PC. It should be 1 folder containing several files and folders such as header.php or structure.php.
3. Upload this whole folder and its contents to the 'themes' folder on your server using an FTP program such as Flashfxp.
4. Go to your admin area and click on the 'Configure Settings' section. From here you can select any theme that is currently uploaded.
Note. Never delete the 'Superchrome' theme as this is a safety net for your script should a theme you upload fail.

| After running the install.php successfully and trying to open my site, I get an error: Couldnt execute query. What is wrong? |
This error can only occur for two reasons.
1. You have incorrect settings in your 'config.php file. Triple check this. Ensure that after each line the ; character is intact in this file.
2. You have not given your user full permission to the database. In the mysql screen under cpanel, you will see a button "Add user to database". Ensure the user and DB are select and the permission is set to the highest level and then click it.

| How do I add a new page to my website? |
1. Add the page to your site: 'Web Page Layout' -> 'Manage PCW Pages' -> 'Add New Page' admin tool
Now you need to fill in all the info for the page:
Link Name = The page will be called in the main menu, ie: Home = Home
Link Url = The direct link to the file you uploaded, it should look something like: index.php?page=Your_Page_Name (no .php at the end)
Php Filename = The name of the file you uploaded (if applicable). Use underscore for spaces in the name: my home = my_home
Menu Order = The order in which this link will appear in your navigation.
Target Window = Select how the link operates: New window to open in popup or Self to open within the same page. Default is 'Self'
Left/Right Boxes = Select the box name from the Availalble area and click the right arrow to place it in the Selected area. Use the Up/Down arrows to re-order the boxes. It is highly recomended that you have at least the Navigation box on all your pages.
Group = Select the group under which this link should be listed. Select 'Not in Navigation' if you do not wich for the link to be listed.
Click "Save"
2. Add the HTML content: go to 'Web Page Layout' -> 'Edit Page Content'
Click on the page name you just added
Enter the code you have into the HTML area (BBCode allowed)
Click "Save"
3. Set the security settings for the page: click on the "-Security-" link located under the Group name you added the link to
Click "Go" (default selection is 'by rank')
Listed are the security settings for all pages of this group, listed by ranks
Find your page and change the setting to YES for all ranks that you want to have access to this page
Click "Save" (located at the bottom of the page)

| How do I use the RSS site feature? |
Note: RSS must be enabled in Configure Settings.
The URL where the RSS is based is http://www.yoursite.com/rss_backend.php
You may have to login to see news / forum posts. There are two options. Either use HTTP authentication if your reader supports it, or append to the feed address &user=username&pass=password replacing username and password with your own.
To see the forum, append &func=forum
To see a specific news page or forum category, append &par={page id | forum id}

Check Form Manager -> Form Results. You can filter which form you are looking for at the top.

Either you haven't set up the security or haven't placed it in a category.
To set up the security:
Click on the "-Security-" link located under the Group name you added the link to
Click "Go" (default selection is 'by rank')
Listed are the security settings for all pages of this group, listed by ranks
Find your page and change the setting to YES for all ranks that you want to have access to this page
Click "Save" (located at the bottom of the page)
To set a group:
'Web Page Layout' -> 'Manage PCW Pages'
Find the new PCW page you have just created. Click Details followed by edit.
Set the group as neccessary. Not in Navigation means it will not appear in navigation. You don't want this option.
Click Save.
